Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
While Dr. Zachary already knew plenty about dentistry from his dad, it wasn’t until he started working for him during summer breaks that he saw the true mastery of craft and art that went into the profession. The satisfaction of providing a valuable, life-changing service to patients so directly felt unique to him, and the realization sparked a lifelong interest. He began joining his dad on mission trips to Knoxville, TN through Remote Area Medical, where they provided services to communities to need. He saw first-hand just how valuable and important their dental care was to the community at large, and the great appreciation patients had for the work drew him into the oral healthcare world for good. He’s never looked back!
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Zachary completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland-College Park before pursuing his DMD at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. While there, he graduated with honors as the salutatorian and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national honor society. He was also extremely active in local clubs that were focused on implant surgery and cosmetic dentistry. He did all this while also completing additional courses related to the principles of occlusion/TMJ disorders, dental implants, restorative dentistry, and orthodontics. He has also begun his journey of studying at the Dawson Academy. Today, he is a member of the American Dental Association and New Jersey Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

He’s been a runner for several years, competing in half-marathons and even a full marathon. He also likes to fish – it’s a relaxing hobby that also allows him to explore new areas. He’s started playing golf in his free time, and he’s even a certified scuba diver.
